Description:Pardoo Station, established in the 1860s, is a 200,000-hectare working cattle property at the western end of the Great Sandy Desert, where it meets the Indian Ocean. It boasts a significant stretch of coastline, including proximity to the famous Eighty Mile Beach, known for its pristine beauty. A part of Pardoo Waygu, the Tourist Park facilities include a large campground and caravan park, swimming pool, shared amenities blocks, laundry, barbeque area, gym, Star link internet, restaurant serving the local Pardoo Waygu, fire pit, wash down bay and two dump stations. The caravan park facilities, based at the property’s historic homestead offer 130 caravan park bays and 70 short stay rooms. The homestead walls are made of concrete and stone and are approximately 450mm thick. The homestead is typical of a Pilbara plan type. It has a central “core” containing small numbers of large rooms, no passages and no formal entry or entry hall. It is surrounded by verandas and all under a steeply pitched hip roof The station covers a variety of landscapes from rich tidal flats to rolling spinifex plains. Located on Ngarla country, one and a half hour's drive from Port Hedland. Port Hedland is a 2-hour Flight from WA's capital city, Perth or a 17-hour drive. Hospitality Managers, Geoff Burns and Shane Wilson, through their company Hits The Fan Catering, have production catering experience.
Usage Restriction:Areas off limits will be the cattle operations for biosecurity reasons - other than that there are vast expanses of ocean and beach and the heritage Homestead dwelling which is being renovated.
