Description:Shambala Eco Retreat is nestled on 118 acres of natural bush, forest, and field, adjacent to a stunning state forest and located 18 minutes northeast of Margaret River. The farm is set in vineyards and surrounded by natural Australian bush. ABOUT THE MEETING HOUSE The dwelling is a beautifully purpose-built and sustainably architecture octagon-shaped limestone sanctuary, inspired by the Mediterranean. It is solar passive and supplied by rainwater only, north-facing with polished concrete floors that keep it nice and cool in summer and store warmth in winter, and also features a central fireplace. Its hardwood features, including the mezzanine flooring and book shelves are derived from local marri timbers and bush poles harvested and milled directly from the land itself. The meeting house features an established library with hundreds of books of interesting topics (including philosophy, psychology, and exploration of spirituality, consciousness, culture, nature & permaculture, natural building and design, holistic healing and ecocentric development, the mind, etc.) This earth-home has plenty of cozy nooks, comfortable velvet lounges, plenty of cushions and bean bags and overlooks the 35m lavender labyrinth. The outside area features a large outdoor dining table set as well as a woodfired pizza oven (to operate outside of bushfire season only; May-Oct!) Sleeps 12 - 6 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms
