Description:
Palace Theatre was the second theatre to be built in Boulder, reflecting a period of the town's development. Palace Theatre was built on the site of an earlier picture garden of the same name. The building was fully operational as a picture theatre. It is well loved by local residents and represents an important reminder of the prosperity the town enjoyed during the late 1930s. The volunteer committee has turned the Palace Theatre into a vibrant community centre with activities on most evenings and weekends. Low-cost hire enables other organisations to use the facilities. Over the years, the organisation have been award numerous accolades for volunteering, local and statewide. Most of the volunteer board have been with the organisation since 2000.
