Description:
A pleasant three hour drive through Dale Forest and into rolling wheat and sheep country will bring you to Yealering from Perth. Lake Yealering, also known as Yealering Lakes, is an ephemeral salt lake in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia located on the southern edge of the town of Yealering, 30 km north west of Wickepin and about 250 km south east of Perth. Yealering is thought to be the only country town in Western Australia with a lake within the town boundary. In a picturesque setting with a shady picnic area and barbecue facilities, Lake Yealering is an ideal place for a variety of water sports including skiing, swimming, sailing and windsurfing. There are nature walks throughout the surrounding bush land. Black swans are a regular sight on the lake.
