The Midland Railway Workshops in Midland, Western Australia were the main workshops for the Western Australian Government Railways (WAGR) for over 80 years. Midland Railway Workshops occupies a site of about 68 hectares, roughly rectangular in form, three times as long as wide and orientated east-west. It is adjacent to the Midland Railway Terminal and accessed by Montreal Road East, which forms its north boundary. Located on Yelverton Drive, Midland, approximately 20 km (12.4 mi) or 25-min northeast of Perth CBD via the Great Eastern Highway. Perth Film Studios is approximately 15 km (9.3 mi) or 20-min west via Reid Highway.
