Description:Tammin is a town in the central agricultural region of WA. It is a 2hr 20 min (184.1km/ 114 miles) drive east of Perth. Tammin is a classic wheatbelt one street town with huge wheat silos (constructed in 1960 they were the first concrete silos built in Australia) and a railway line on one side of the road and the faithful old Tammin Hotel and a few shops on the other side. The surrounding areas produce wheat and other cereal crops. The town is a receival site for Cooperative Bulk Handling. It also serves as a stop on the Prospector and Avonlink rural train services.
