Description:The King George River plunges an extraordinary 80 - 100 meters over a sandstone cliff into tidal waters, to create the King George Falls. The King George River descends 216 metres over a distance of approximately 112 kilometres. This includes the famous descent of the dual drop waterfall of King George Falls, which is located approximately 12 kilometres upriver from the river’s mouth. The remote coastline is accessible via water or air. Broome, Derby and Kununurra serve as the main entry and exit points for viewing the Kimberley coast by air.
