Description:North Dandalup is a charming tranquil location. With the Long Billed black cockatoo’s roaming the area. The township was a stopping place on the South Western Railway in 1894. A school site was set aside in 1899 and a hall and recreation ground followed years later in 1915. However, North Dandalup wasn’t declared a township, until 1972. North Dandalup is a tranquil location, it has a strong equine presence and several large waterways. Today, North Dandalup has a primary school, hall, convenience store and a fuel station. It also serves as a stop on the Australind passenger train from Perth to Bunbury. The nearby North Dandalup Dam offers recreational facilities and activities. It lies close to the North Dandalup Important Bird Area.
