Description:Beautiful reef-surrounded atolls. Pristine waters, a rich bio-diversity of marine and other wildlife, historic shipwrecks and their attendant tales of triumph over adversity, and a modern, thriving rock lobster industry are all part of the magic that is the Houtman Abrolhos Islands, as they are officially named. The Abrolhos Islands lie approximately 60 kilometres west of Geraldton, on the Western Australian coast, and consist of 122 islands clustered into three main groups: the Wallabi Group, Easter Group and Pelsaert Group, which extend from north to south across 100 kilometres of ocean.
