Jarrahdale Pine Plantations

Australia / Jarrahdale, Western Australia
Location ID: #10310348

A pine plantation set within the steep forested terrain of the Darling Scarp near Jarrahdale, forming part of the Gooralong Park precinct within Serpentine National Park. The plantation occupies a valley floor and lower hillside in a deep gully environment, surrounded by native jarrah and marri forest on the surrounding slopes. The visual character is dense, steeply enclosed, and heavily shaded, with the combination of tall pine canopy and clearings, producing a distinctly different atmosphere from the flat coastal plantations at Gnangara or the pines at Mundaring Weir.

Located approximately 45 km (28 mi) or 50-min southeast of Perth CBD via the South Western Highway. Perth Film Studios is approximately 55-min to 1h north.
