Bridgetown Police Station Museum
Australia / Bridgetown, Western Australia
Location ID: #10285464
The Bridgetown Police Station Museum is a fine example of an early Western Australian Police Station and lockup which was built in 1880 and one of the earliest government buildings in Bridgetown.
The building is in original condition with three cells, a booking room, a kitchen and an exercise yard - although a tin roof now covers the shingles. The station was used until 1973 and is mostly unchanged since built. The building is set back from the main street. Old courthouse is one side, former police quarters on the other side.
