The Heritage Collective
Australia / Cottesloe, Western Australia
Location ID: #10277975
The Heritage Collective is three restored heritage buildings situated on the Cottesloe coastline with stunning panoramic views of the Indian Ocean, Rottnest Island, and the coastline stretching from Fremantle to Scarborough and beyond.
This prominent two-storey structure, characterised by its charming candle-snuffer roof and elevated balcony, was constructed between 1896 and 1909. Designed by the notable architect Percy William Harrison in the Federation Queen Anne style, the building was made using sandstone sourced from the site itself.
In 2020, Curtin Heritage Living redeveloped the site to provide high-end housing options for older individuals as well as a complete refurbishment of these heritage buildings.
The renovations have created new spaces including a club lounge, a sitting room, a boardroom, a corner office, a 40-seat cinema and adjoining lobby, and a maker's space. Beautiful stained glass and heritage features merge with contemporary lighting design, furnishings, and art collection. The Heritage Collective includes an excellent in-house catering service and landscaped gardens with the ocean as its backdrop.
