UWA is surrounded by leafy green spaces with open courtyards. The 65-hectare Crawley campus sits on the Swan River, about five kilometres west of the Perth central business district. Many of the buildings are coastal limestone including the large and iconic Winthrop Hall with its Romanesque Revival architecture. These buildings are dotted amongst expansive lawns and thickets of trees, such as the Sunken Garden and the Tropical Grove.

UWA Tennis Club trains at UWA Sports Park in Mt Claremont and at its campus courts, offering grass, hard, and European red‑clay courts — the only red‑clay courts in Western Australia.
Training and play take place across two main locations: UWA Sports Park, Mt Claremont — a major sporting precinct that includes the UWA Tennis Club facilities. UWA Campus Courts (Crawley) — additional grass, hard, and clay courts used for social and competition play. This dual‑site setup allows the club to run large coaching programs, league competitions, and social sessions.
The club offers one of the most diverse court surfaces in WA:
6 fully lit European red‑clay courts — the only ones of their kind in the state, highly valued for player development.
6 grass courts — traditional surface used for social and competitive play.
Hard courts — available across the Mt Claremont and campus sites.
Additional facilities at UWA Sports Park include change rooms, lighting, parking, and access to broader sporting amenities within the 33‑hectare complex

UWA sits directly on the Swan River, and the UWA Boat Shed is located on the river’s edge. This makes rowing one of the university’s signature sports, with immediate water access for training and competition.
