Location ID: #10083059

Fairbridge Village is a 30-hectare heritage precinct on the South Western Highway, Pinjarra, comprising approximately 60 buildings on former farm school land established in 1912 by Kingsley Fairbridge as a settlement for British child migrants. The site operated as a child migration farm school from 1913 to 1981 and is State Heritage listed. The built character is predominantly Inter-War Old English in style, with timber-framed weatherboard cottages, half-timbering, small-paned casement windows, shingled and corrugated iron roofs, tall brick chimneys, and jarrah interiors across 30 self-contained heritage cottages. Principal buildings include Fairbridge House, Heath House, the Old Fairbridgians Clubhouse, and the Church of the Holy Innocents, designed by architect Sir Herbert Baker and completed in 1931 in brick, jarrah, and karri with stained glass windows and a pipe organ. The precinct is set in jarrah bushland with walking trails, an art gallery, museum, and cafe. The village now operates as heritage accommodation and a youth-focused community organisation under Fairbridge Western Australia Inc.

Located on the South Western Highway, Pinjarra, approximately 85 km (53 mi) or 1h south of Perth CBD. Perth Film Studios is approximately 1h 10-min north via the Kwinana Freeway.
