Kalgoorlie-Boulder Burt St
Australia / Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Western Australia
Location ID: #10082895
Boulder’s Burt Street is architectural treasure trove. At the height of the gold boom era Boulder was home to most of the Golden Mile’s mine workers and their families. It was a stronghold of the union movement and each year Burt Street hosted a Labour Day parade with marching bands and brightly decorated floats. The jewel of Burt Street is the Boulder Town Hall (opened in 1908) with its famous Goatcher Curtain depicting the Bay of Naples.
