Augusta is situated on the south coast of Australia's South West tourist region.The town itself is 310 kilometres south of Perth, and you can get here in under four hours by road, or hop on a 50 minute flight from Perth airport to Busselton and shorten the drive to just over an hour. Augusta faces the Southern and Indian Oceans at Cape Leeuwin on the shores of Hamelin Bay and mouth of the Blackwood River. It is the most south-western town in Western Australia. There are beautiful bays and beaches, caves and flora. The town is particularly rich in historic associations‚ with a museum in the main street preserving memorabilia from the Augusta-Margaret River region.
